Senior Manager, Real Estate Secured Lending Products

As the Senior Manager, Real Estate Secured Lending (RESL) Products, you will lead end-to-end product management across the RESL business, and develop and oversee RESL’s product management framework and implement strategies to grow the business across financial, operational and customer experience aspects of the products.

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

  • Develop and oversee RESL’s product management framework to anchor product management across strategy, financial, process / technology, marketing, and customer experience dimensions to support the growth of our business and meet evolving customer needs

  • Lead end-to-end product management in line with the product management framework across RESL’s business, including Scotia Total Equity Plan (STEP), secured ScotiaLine, Scotia Flex Variable Rate Mortgage, Scotia Mortgage+ Program, and other specialty programs

  • Define, measure, and track product key performance indicators to underpin the product management framework and manage product performance

  • Grow the business by evolving our product offerings to better meet the needs of customers through process optimization, enhanced features, marketing strategies.

  • Simplify products to make them easier for customers to understand and take advantage of the benefits

  • Partner with teams from across the organization to leverage RESL products and programs as an entry point to develop deep customer relationships that span the full household

  • Act as the business subject matter expert to inform the design and delivery of product-related technology / process enhancements.

  • Champion a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge

  • Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions

  • Champion a high-performance environment and contribute to an inclusive work environment

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:

  • Post-secondary education in a related field

  • Multiple years of relevant work experience in the financial services industry, preferably with a focus in product management

  • Strong knowledge of product management best practices

  • Knowledge of the RESL business, produces and offerings is a strong asset, including key priorities and how they fit with the strategic agenda of the Canadian Banking division at Scotiabank

  • Strong business strategy and financial acumen, with a track record of being innovative, a critical thinker, and the ability to drive results

  • A proven ability to navigate complex organizations with several stakeholders to achieve results

  • Relentless advocacy for our clients through product, process and experience enhancements

  • A comprehensive understanding of key internal stakeholders, the Bank’s organizational structure and operating model
