BRIEF INTRODUCTION:

Lead Investment Advisors help our clients achieve peace of mind by providing investment solutions that offer clients a comprehensive, fully diversified portfolio aligned to their risk profile and investment objectives. The National Branch manages small household clients across Canada by providing access to a virtual sales team that offers investment advice and solutions. As a Lead Investment Advisor the main focus is on transitioning clients from branches by ensuring client documentation is up to date and investments are appropriately aligned, and where appropriate making referrals to other bank partners.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

In this role you will:

1. Provide a high level of customer service by:

  • Ensuring client is transferred efficiently from original branch

  • Responding to client requests, inquiries, and concerns promptly and efficiently

  • Provide sound and appropriate investment advice to clients to meet their investment objectives

  • Adhering to all firm and regulatory policies by remaining up to date with all regulatory rules and trading activities

2. Generate revenue through development of client relationships by:

  • Managing existing client relationships and generate an ongoing source of profitable revenue

  • Identifying opportunities to gather additional assets from existing client base

  • Actively promote the products and services available to the National Branch

  • Identify opportunities to promote products and services of Scotia partners where appropriate

3. Develop, execute and maintain compliant financial strategies by:

  • Preparing financial solutions to service client’s goals and objectives that are in the best interest of the client, the firm and within regulatory requirements

  • Display a high level of integrity and professionalism in all dealings with internal and external clients

4. Contribute to the effective functioning of the National Branch team by:

  • Building effective working relationships across the team and with various business lines

  • Facilitating a culture of open and honest communication

  • Actively participating and contributing to branch and team meetings

5. Provide strong team leadership to motivate and develop individual and team performance by:

  • Fostering and developing a strong, positive team environment, driving employee empowerment, innovation and a high degree of engagement

  • Exhibiting an ability to listen, negotiate and communicate goals

  • Sharing knowledge, experience and responsibility with

6. Responsible for service, maintenance and advice to Group plan clientele by:

  • Maintaining a comprehensive understanding of all group plans and the unique features

  • Liaise with ScotiaMcLeod Wealth Advisors (Lead advisors on each group plan) on a basis in regards to group service plan coordination to ensure continuity of client co and investment direction.

  • Ensure that all clients receive the level of service and advice that has been dictated sponsor

  • Provide all account administration services including new account opening.

  • Return all calls and email promptly within 24 hours.

  • Provide advice to clients on recommended funds and any changes; fixed income m mandatory redemptions; cash or Money Market Fund balances; client life events; m concerns and inquiries

  • Provide guidance and supervision of the Group Administrative Assistant to ensure operation of the team Group Plan service levels and a consistent level of service

DO YOU HAVE THE SKILLS

We would love to work with you if you have:

  • Currently licensed as a Registered Representative within the CIRO

  • Fluently bilingual in French & English is an asset

  • 5-7 years of experience in a sales, relationship, or account management role

  • Proficient in trading and account management systems

  • Experience providing investment advice to clients is preferred

  • University education is preferred
