Canadian Tire Product Owner - Cloud in Toronto, Ontario

What you'll do

We seek an experienced and dynamic Product Owner to join our Cloud team. This position will manage our public cloud services platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud technologies and agile product management.

In this role, you'll:

  • Define and prioritize the product backlog for public cloud services.

  • Develop and maintain a product roadmap aligned with business objectives and stakeholder needs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, operations, and business units to deliver high-quality products.

  • Ensure the product meets security, compliance, and performance standards.

  • Act as the primary liaison between stakeholders and the development team.

  • Gather and prioritize requirements from various stakeholders including customers, internal teams, and executives.

  • Communicate product vision, strategy, and progress to stakeholders.

  • Lead agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team.

  • Ensure the team delivers incremental value through iterative development cycles.

  • Oversee the deployment, management, and optimization of public cloud services.

  • Collaborate with cloud engineers to ensure reliable, scalable, and cost-effective cloud solutions.

  • Monitor and manage cloud costs, ensuring alignment with the organization’s budgetary constraints.

  • Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for cloud services.

  • Implement monitoring and alerting systems to ensure high availability and reliability.

  • Lead incident response efforts and post-mortem analysis for production issues.

    What you bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in product management, with a focus on cloud services and data integration.

  • Strong knowledge of public cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, Google Cloud).

  • Proven ability to manage complex projects and drive cross-functional teams.

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • M aster’s degree in a related field.

  • Certifications in cloud technologies (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert).

  • Experience in a retail environment or large enterprise settings.

  • Knowledge of cloud cost management and optimization strategies.
