Amazon Head of International Expansion Video Strategy and Go-To-Market in Toronto, Ontario

We seek a seasoned leader to join the WW Ad Sales team as Head of International Expansion (IX) Video Strategy and Go-To-Market (GTM). This new role will report directly to the Director, WW Video Go-To-Market and be the IX leader for developing the unified go-to-market strategy and strategic execution for advertising solutions across Amazon video and streaming properties. This leader will be responsible for the IX go-to-market strategy across video properties as one Amazon brand propelling us to the top tier in video advertising. He/she will lead the IX team (across Canada, Mexico, Brazil, China, Japan, and Australia), and partner with the broader WW team setting the total Video strategy.

Key job responsibilities

• Drive the International Expansion vision, value proposition, programs, planning, and packaging solutions to grow our video GTM approach across all video properties

• Drive adoption of Amazon’s video advertising offerings, including business management in support of Video org goals around revenue, product adoption, advertiser maturity advancement, etc.

• Develop the IX end-to-end strategy for positioning, pricing, packaging, and planning of Amazon’s STV advertising offerings, alongside sales, product, sponsorships, and strategy peers

• Aggregate VOC and partner with product teams to drive video solutions for customers and growth for Amazon; produce stack-ranked set of sales priorities, and influence requirements, roadmap decisions and trade-offs

• Partner with Product, Sponsorships, & Ads Marketing on Video Sales and Marketing narratives

• Customize the macro strategy to each sales vertical within the IX Amazon Ads team

• Contribute to the IX Trading Agreement process for Amazon, as well as all similar annual processes as they relate to Video. Drive sales enablement of both current and new products & capabilities.

• Hire, develop and lead a team of Video strategy and GTM leads

The ideal candidate will possess a revenue and strategic leadership background within video and STV that enables them to drive a comprehensive go-to-market strategy around how Amazon approaches video advertising. This leader will partner cross-functionally across leaders within Amazon’s video properties, and work closely with sales to drive revenue growth in this segment.

• self-starter with demonstrated ability to think strategically and analytically about sales, business, product, and technical challenges with the ability to build and convey compelling value propositions and work cross-organizationally to build consensus

• A strong track record in developing and launching go-to-market strategies within streaming and video

Basic Qualifications

  • 10+ years of building and leading large teams and working in matrixed operating structures experience

  • Experience working and communicating with multiple stakeholders, C-level executives and cross functional teams or equivalent

  • Experience in strategic thinking about business, enterprise software products, and new technology platforms and architectures or equivalent

  • 10+ in sales strategy, business development, product management, digital media strategy/GTM at a media & entertainment company

Preferred Qualifications

  • • Experience in previous roles managing relationships with senior stakeholders including: Product leaders, Sales, Account Management, Finance and Marketing

  • • Extensive knowledge of digital media landscape, video advertising, and AdTech (e.g., Identity resolution, DSPs, programmatic media, premium digital video, performance advertising)

  • • Experience building and deploying GTM strategies, with an emphasis on packaging, positioning and messaging.

  • • Experience dealing with results, metrics and data management and a desire to create and build new processes

  • • Possess analytical and quantitative skills with an ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions, develop business cases, and complete root cause analyses

  • • Excellent communication skills (written & verbal), including the ability to present complex topics both in person, over the phone, and through concise document writing
