DEPARTMENT: Global Wealth Management - Finance

The Finance Business Partner is responsible for monthly financial reporting and analysis, forecasting, and annual planning for MD Financial Management business line. In addition, provide support for finance-related issues.

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

1) Monthly Financial Reporting:

  1. Oversee and produce the monthly staffing analysis and reporting

  2. Ensure timely delivery of the monthly financial reporting (ie: Statutory Expenses including Travel and Business Development, misc. Initiatives, key metrics, etc.)

  3. Prepare monthly and quarterly forecast updates for Senior Management decision making

ensuring the completeness, accuracy, timeliness, and integrity of the financial results

  1. Branch and Regional P&L reporting along with profitability analysis

2) MD Financial Annual Planning & Quarterly Forecasting, including

  1. Template development and distribution to MDF leaders and regional managers

  2. Review and reasonability of responsibility centre templates

  3. Aggregation and analysis of plans to confirm they align with Firm plan targets

  4. Loading into financial system

  5. Prepare annual Strategic Plan, and Stress Testing Plan processes ensuring completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of information

3) Assist Senior Manager with special project work and ad-hoc Business analysis to support business strategies, including Business Cases, Business Line Management initiatives, Profitability Models, Business Development initiatives and operational efficiencies

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? - We'd love to work with you if you have:

  • Professional accounting designation (CPA) or equivalent experience

  • The incumbent must be a self-starting, detailed oriented, results-focus and highly motivated individual with strong analytical skills and the ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines

  • In-depth knowledge of Wealth Management services and operations, and Advisor programs

  • Strong analytical skills with advanced competencies using Excel, Tableau or Power BI

  • Working knowledge of financial software such as OBI, Hyperion, or Peoplesoft

  • Must possess very good interpersonal and communication skills to effectively work with finance and business partners

  • A team player, willing to assist other members of the department
