In Marketing, you’ll be the ones who first capture our consumers’ imaginations, giving them a tantalizing taste of our brands. You’ll work to help our brands stay relevant to consumers by developing and activating brand plans that capture their imagination, passion and loyalty.
This role will report into the Canada General Manager and be a member of the Mondelez Canada Leadership Team. It will be responsible for leading a team of 10 and creating and delivering the strategic growth plan for the Canadian Confectionery category with a net revenue of 380MM USD including brand architecture, equity, and positioning and brand performance.
Primary responsibilities of the position:
Lead the development of the annual marketing plan for the brand or category of brands, including building of the annual business plan to ensure growth targets are reached
Lead the development of the innovation strategy informed by brand architecture and demand spaces
Ensure development of innovation pipeline, including whitespace innovation to deliver sufficiency of growth
Oversee full Idea to Market (I2M) delivery including commercialization.
Partner with cross-functional teams to develop the quality and renovation strategy
Oversee the execution of integrated communication and media plans
Partner with Consumer Insights to deliver key communications/media testing, measurement and on-going optimization
Work with internal and external partners like sales and Nielsen to identify brand and category trends to inform brand health and business strategy.
Collaborate with Pricing and Strategy teams to ensure we are delivering customer and consumer value in line with category trends.
Brief and support national shopper marketing programs, including strategic briefing and creative oversight.
Responsible for Profit &Loss (P&L) management, including base assumptions and resource allocation, Advertising & Consumer promotional expense planning and management
Integrated Business Planning process including assessing and addressing risks and opportunities to the annual plan, and leading decision making on in year P&L trade offs
Ensure strategy integration with Sales Planning, Shopper Marketing, & Point of Sale
Bachelor’s Degree is required; Master’s Degree preferred
Minimum of 10 years work experience or equivalent in brand marketing & P&L Management
A seasoned leader who is able to set up successful end to end marketing teams and deliver strong business results
Strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities
Ability to thrive in and handle ambiguity & fast paced environment
Analytic and creative thinking skills
Strong business acumen and marketing capabilities coupled with cross functional partnership skills
Effective executive communication skills
