What you'll be doing

Provide analytics to support the development of proposals/business cases for credit policy, process, system adjudication rules and account management strategy that will improve real estate secured lending credit risk management performance (e.g. increase system approval rates within acceptable risk boundaries). As the Consultant, Real Estate Secured Lending, Retail Risk Management, you will undertake analytics in support of driving deeper insights into the performance of various segments of the real estate secured portfolios. Work with Risk Managers to design ad-hoc reports and queries, and identify potential risks or opportunities.

How you'll succeed

  • Experience – You have knowledge of credit risk management policies, standards and guidelines to enable the completion of various analytical assignments. Experience in real estate secured lending is an asset. You are familiar with Credit Bureau data and its uses in risk strategies or scoring.

  • Analytical – You possess strong analytical and creative problem solving skills with the ability to interpret and analyze information to formulate sound conclusions.

  • Communication – You have the ability to convey technical information in understandable terms, both written and verbal. Effectively prepare and present data and insights to senior executives.

  • Adaptable - You are a proactive self-starter and have flexibility to adapt to an evolving environment with shifting priorities

  • You can demonstrate experience in – You have experience with data analysis tools and databases (eg. SAS EG, SQL, TRIAD, Decision Manager).

  • You have a degree/diploma in – You have a university degree in Business, Finance, MBA degree or equivalent. Accounting or Analyst (FRM, CFA) designations, or studies in quantitative discipline such as Engineering, Applied Science/Math or related field is an asset.
