The Role:

You will have the opportunity to be apart of Live Nation’s newest Canadian venue, History. A state of the art venue, with a capacity of up to 2,500 and the goal of hosting over 200 concerts and events annually, you will play a big role in truly making this venue a Toronto staple. Responsibilities:

  • Perform various opening and closing busser duties. Ensuring the servers and the kitchen are consistently up to appropriate standards for flawless execution

  • Learn table numbers and run food accurately in a seamless, gracious manner

  • Stay informed of current menu items and descriptions

  • Rinse, clean, organize stock and maintain proper amount of pots, pans, silverware, dishware and glassware to support daily operations and business volumes

  • Keep floor neat, clean and free of food, trash and other obstacles throughout shift

  • Focus on the cleanliness and sanitation of the space, including but not limited to: storage areas, garbage spaces and other working spaces

  • Follow health & safety procedures and policies to ensure a safe and clean environment

  • Ensure all kitchen utensils are organized and stocked for efficient use and access

  • Anticipate the guests’ needs and respond appropriately with a sense of urgency

  • Create an atmosphere where coworkers are connected and committed through seamless communication and the willingness to help others win

Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of experience as a busser or similar role in a high-volume environment an asset, but not required

  • Ability to carry 2 or more plates around venue and comfortable carrying them upstairs

  • Takes great initiative and is able to anticipate the needs of servers and kitchen staff

  • Must be able to stand during scheduled shift, withstand repetitive walking, reaching, and bending for long periods of time

  • Liaises with F&B management team on par levels and various other food and beverage needs

  • A passion for live events and desire to ensure every customer experience is exceptional!

  • You’ve found the balance of being respectful and professional whilst being fun and jovial in a work environment

  • Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required

Physical Requirements/Work Environment

Sits for extended periods of time at a computer station or work desk; stands and walks throughout the day; occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.; uses hands and fingers to operate computers and office equipment for up to 8 hours each day; lifts up to 10 pounds regularly; exposed to typical office environment conditions and noise levels.
