Job Description

This a permanent full-time opportunity based in our Toronto-Yorkdale office .

As a Benefits Administrator, you will report to the Director of Total Rewards and be responsible for leading and planning the day-to-day administration of the company’s group benefits programs. You will manage all employee escalated issues and work with all stakeholders to resolve in a timely manner.

WHEN YOU JOIN US, YOU WILL BE;

  • Communicating with employees, field HR, benefit partners, and people leaders regarding all aspects of benefits administration (health, dental, insurance, and retirement) in adherence to benefit policies and procedures

  • Administering benefits and retirement plan in accordance with plan design, carrier contract, and standardized operating procedures

  • Facilitating new hire and ad hoc benefits training sessions and assisting in the development of employee education

  • Collaborating with benefit plan providers, insurance carriers, and other vendors to resolve any identified service or claim-related issues

  • Supporting annual benefits enrolment activities and year-end reporting on taxable activities.

  • Identifying reporting requirements to effectively audit, report financials, and planning details to make informed decisions

  • Supporting the development and implementation of HRIS system modifications to accommodate new benefits or plan choices

  • Collaborating with internal partners to generate vendor payments and retirement plan contributions

  • Auditing data integrity of the internal system about carrier system to ensure the accuracy of coverage

  • Creating and updating process documentation as required.

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE;

  • Completion of a post-secondary HR diploma or degree program, or equivalent experience.

  • 1+ years of benefits experience with an understanding of legislation.

  • Previous experience with Workday preferred

  • Strong organizational skills to work efficiently and meet deadlines.

  • Proven ability to communicate and coordinate with team and external stakeholders positively to build strong relationships.

  • Keen sense of confidentiality for sensitive information

  • Excellent analytical and Excel skills to assess data and report findings.
