As a Human Resources Systems Analyst , reporting to the Manager, HR Client Services, you will have a keen analytical mindset to identify system and processes inefficiencies and propose effective solutions through effective communication and collaboration across diverse teams. This position offers the flexibility to work from home while contributing to our company’s HR initiatives.

As a member of the HR Service Centre, the HR Systems Analyst is responsible for configuring and maintaining the Human Resources Information System (HRIS), with a focus on union setup and benefit remittance management. This role requires a strong background in managing and configuring HR Information Systems, especially in environments with unionized employees. The HR System Analyst ensures the seamless integration of union requirements and benefit programs into the HRIS, accurate data management, and effective support for the workforce and operations.

Your work will include:

System Configuration & Maintenance

  • Configure and maintain configuration within ADP to meet ongoing business needs

  • Coordinate with our Labour Relations Directors, Account Directors and HRSC to manage system changes and updates in relation to union contracts

  • Understand contract requirements, including collective agreement implications to ensure accurate set up

Benefit Reconciliation:

  • Manage and administer payments of union employee benefits programs including health and wellness, retirement, and pension plans

  • Act as the point of contact for monthly union benefit remittances

  • Configure and maintain benefits module within the HRIS, including supporting documentation

  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, collective agreements, and company policies

  • Analyze discrepancies and resolve issues related to benefit calculations and payments.

  • Collaborate with payroll, operations, and finance to ensure accurate forecasting and benefit processing.

System Security and Support:

  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting to ADP users

  • Create and manage user access permissions

  • Develop and maintain user guides and training materials to assist users in system navigation and utilization

  • Collaborate with IT and HR Teams to implement system upgrades and improvements

  • Conduct regular security audits and assessments to ensure compliance

  • Document workflows, security specifications and other HRIS configurations.

Auditing and Data Integrity:

  • Perform regular audits of processes and data to ensure integrity and accuracy

  • Develop and implement audit plan and checklist to systematically review system operations and data handling

  • Generate and analyze reports related to union membership, payments and benefit enrollment

  • Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to improve HR processes and policies

  • Identify and rectify any discrepancies or errors uncovered during audits

Qualifications

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • 3-5 years’ experience as a System Analyst or similar role

  • Demonstrated proficiency with analysis, design and development

  • A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field

  • CHRP designation or working toward designation would be an asset

  • Experience in unionized environments and benefits management

  • Proficiency with HRIS platforms, specifically ADP Workforce Now

  • Experience with HRIS implementations and upgrades.

  • Advanced level expertise with Excel and data analysis tools
