Lyft Brand Strategist in Toronto, Canada

Lyft is looking for a data-driven, passionate, and collaborative Marketer to join our Marketing team as a Brand Strategist. In this role, you will translate business needs into inspiring creative briefs, guide strategic creative development, uncover compelling consumer insights for messaging and design, and collaborate across teams to shape brand experiences for Lyft.

Responsibilities:

  • Turn business needs into clear and inspiring creative briefs

  • Act as a strategic guardian throughout the creative development process

  • Identify compelling consumer insights that we can leverage for messaging, product, and experiential design

  • Translate quant and qual research findings into actionable creative implications

  • Continuously optimize campaigns based on performance data and consumer insights

  • Lead creative projects and tasks with guidance and support from senior management

  • Collaborate with a cross-functional team of multiple stakeholders on a daily basis

  • Identify opportunities within the organization to influence product and experience design that reinforce brand positioning and messaging

  • Identify opportunities for Lyft to insert themselves into culture and create social conversation

Experience:

  • 5+ years experience working in a brand planner/strategy role

  • Have the discernment, resourcefulness and tenacity to bring great ideas into the world that change minds and behavior

  • A conceptual mind that knows the difference between good ideas and great ones; an ability to help refine, nuance and defend the best ones

  • Persuasive and engaging presentation skills

  • Ability to understand and discuss paid media strategies, metrics, and results

  • Comfortable with a broad range of deliverables from content to traditional media and events

  • A proactive mindset

  • Ability to juggle multiple projects on fast-moving schedules

  • Ability to adapt to last-minute asks and changing timelines with flexibility and good humor

This role will be in-office on a hybrid schedule — Team Members will be expected to work in the office 3 days per week on Mondays, Thursdays and a team-specific third day. Additionally, hybrid roles have the flexibility to work from anywhere for up to 4 weeks per year.
