Tooele County School District School Psychologist in TOOELE, Utah
Conduct psychological assessments, testing and diagnostic examinations of students to recommend courses of action or corrective procedures to overcome psychological issues. Will work in a low socioeconomic area with a high caseload in a high referral school. Coordinate with administrators and other teaching staff members to ascertain individual student's abilities and needs, including students with special needs. Attend all eligibility meetings and IEP meetings as needed for students with special needs. Oversee compliance and ensure documents are legally defensible. Organize and maintain complete record-keeping, work with parents, and other related tasks as assigned. Physical places of employment will be West Elementary, 451 W 300 S, Tooele, UT 84074; and Northlake Elementary, 268 N Coleman St, Tooele, UT 84074. Requirements: Masters Degree in School Psychology or related field; Educational Specialist certificate from an accredited School Psychology program; and current Utah School Psychologist license or eligible to obtain. Must have knowledge of interventions and strategies for children with cognitive or behavioral delays as well as knowledge of preschool and post high practices. Must have proven ability to use differentiated instruction based upon student learning styles.
