About the Position: Serve as the technical and administrative supervisor over the Machine Shop Branch, exercising full supervisory responsibility over work operations. Responsibilities Plan weekly and monthly work schedules and sequence of operations for subordinates. Determine how many assignments can be done concurrently, which ones must be delayed, and the number and types of employees needed, considering skills, personnel, materials, and equipment available and required. Working Conditions: Works indoors in a well-lighted and heated shop, subject to dust, dirt and fumes, and possible danger to eyes and skin from flying hot metal chips, to lungs from grinding dust, and to fingers and hands from moving and positioning machine attachments, stock metal, part, etc. Education Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
