What you will enjoy doing

  • As an Advanced Control Systems (ACS) Engineer, you will be working with project teams and mentors on the development of the primary control system logic, process, hardware specification, and related drawings/specifications for projects within operating facilities in the US
  • You will have the opportunity to develop control schemes for a variety of air separation and cryogenic liquefaction projects
  • You should demonstrate high levels of design and leadership capability, a focus on safety, strong verbal and written communication skills, a team-oriented focus, and the ability to find innovative technical solutions
  • As an ACS Engineer, you will design and execute the control system functions for facilities, including system architecture, I/O layout, networking, programming, documentation, and developing Human Machine Interface graphics as part of your role
  • In addition, you will provide control system loop check and troubleshooting field support during the commissioning and startup phases of projects
  • You will collaborate with project team members to implement control system strategies which ensure cost effective plant process control
  • Also, you will assist with estimating ACS engineering hours and hardware costs, for both projects and proposal development

What makes you great

  • You have a bachelor's degree in engineering and 3-5 years of experience in a control systems engineering/operational support role
  • For this role you must have the ability to travel up to 25% per year
  • Additionally, an understanding of process & instrumentation diagrams (P& IDs), schematic wiring diagrams (SWDs), ISA symbology for process controls (hardware & software), I/O distribution & networking, PLC configuration, Microsoft Office Suite
  • Understanding of Rockwell Automation PLC5/Control Logix/SLC500 ladder logic programming (or equivalent)
  • Also, you have a strong understanding of GE iFix HMI/SCADA development (or equivalent)
  • Understanding of programming methods in IEC 61131 languages including Ladder, Function Block Diagram and Structured Text is desired
