Summary of Position: Responsible for cleaning and maintaining the physical facilities (buildings and grounds). Responsible for snow shoveling as needed. Completes assigned work orders independently and within a team atmosphere. Responsible for special assignments and projects at the direction of the Facility Operations Manager and Physical Plant Director. Occasional weekend and Holidays as needed for emergency cleaning. This is a non-benefit eligible part-time position working 20 hours/week, second shift variable schedule. ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Essential Functions: 1. Complete all required College training and responsible for maintaining the skills necessary to complete the essential functions of the position as defined by the department. 3. Cleaning and Maintenance - Supporting Action/Task May Include: Sweep and mop floors and vacuum carpets including treating stains and extraction of carpets Dust vertical and horizontal surfaces Clean and Sanitize restrooms, drinking fountains, etc. using established practices and procedures Clean elevators General cleaning and maintenance including cleaning glass, spot cleaning, etc. Perform emergency and project-related cleaning 5. Snow Plowing - Supporting Action/Task May Include: May physically shovel and de-ice walkways 6.
