Winland Foods Senior Financial Analyst in Tolleson, Arizona

As the Senior Financial Analyst at the Winland Foods Tolleson plant, you will assist all financial aspects of the plant's operations. This includes budgeting, reporting, analysis, forecasting, and month end accounting process. You will work closely with corporate finance and the local operations team to provide financial insights and support decision-making processes. This position reports to the Plant Finance Manager.

Job Description:

Schedule: Primary work schedule is 1st shift, Monday-Friday, with flexibility as needed

Work Location: 495 S 99th Ave, Tolleson, AZ 85353

Salary, based on experience and other qualifications: $73,000 - $124,000 annually with additional bonus potential

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development of annual budget and recurring forecasts for the plant.

  • Perform month end work including preparation of journal entries, analysis of accounts, balance sheet reconciliations and reports.

  • Analyze financial performance against budget and provide variance analysis of key plant operating expenses.

  • Maintain accurate inventory reporting.

  • Support Accounts Payable processes to include assistance in resolution of vouchering issues.

  • Collaborate to identify cost-saving opportunities and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Partner with department leads to analyze production costs and provide recommendations for efficiency improvements.

  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with GAAP standards.

  • Maintain corporate internal control environment following SOX standards.

  • Coordinate with auditors for annual financial audits.

  • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field.

  • Proven experience (5 years) in Accounting/Finance, preferably in a manufacturing or food industry setting.

  • Strong knowledge of financial principles, budgeting, and financial analysis.

  • Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems. SAP experience preferred.

  • Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail.

  • Must be a highly motivated, collaborative, results driven, and self-starting individual who can use their work experience and educational background to prepare cost analysis.

  • Process improvement experience preferred.

  • Excellent MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Teams) required.
