ASM Global Maintenance Technician in Toledo, Ohio
Facility Maintenance Duties and Responsibilities:
Performs a variety of skilled building maintenance and repair tasks including but not limited to: Carpentry; plumbing; painting; plaster and drywall repairs; floor patching and repairs; door and window repair; all other general and preventative building maintenance and repairs as required for the safe and continuous operation of the facility
Performs preventive maintenance and minor repairs on ASM’s equipment; fixtures and machinery.
Assists with preventive and routine maintenance on H.V.A.C. equipment and systems. Must be able to operate the Arena’s BMS system and lighting control system.
Completes assigned written work orders in a timely fashion; completes follow up documentation for written work orders.
Event Support Duties and Responsibilities:
The GMT position performs and assists with a variety of set, service and strike related tasks for event support in the Arena; pre-function, locker room and banquet rooms including but not limited to:
Performs and assists in the installation of temporary electrical service in the Arena; front and back of house; pre-function areas and banquet rooms.
Performs and assists in the installation of audio and visual reinforcement equipment (ie: microphones, mixes etc.) to meet clients requirements.
Performs and assists in the installation of event enhancement lighting (ie: Lekos, Parcans; Twinkle lights, etc.) . Operates follow spot as needed.
Repairs and maintains, in conjunction with operations, SMG’s event related equipment (ie: seating, carts, tables, lifts, etc.)
Operates motorized equipment as needed in accordance with industry standards (ie: Genie lift, forklifts, plows vehicles etc.)
Completes written documentation for event related services and enters data in the maintenance computer (ie: wrap-ups, etc.)
Works closely with clients and the general public and represents the facility in communicating building policies with clients regarding set-up, technical services, and over all facility policies.

Education and/or Experience:
Three years of experience in performing a variety of skilled and semi-skilled maintenance work. A good knowledge of tools, materials, and equipment used in general maintenance work; skill in the techniques of handling the tools and equipment used in a variety of trades. Candidate should have a High School diploma or equivalent.
Language Skills:
GMT must have ability to verbally communicate with the general public and clients. Should also possess written communication skills and computer skills.
Reasoning Ability:
GMT must have the ability to work from CAD drawings, and electrical service forms. GMT should also have the ability to read blue prints. GMT should have the ability to diagnose facility/mechanical problems and make repairs.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
GMT must posses a valid Ohio driver’s license
Physical Demands:
GMT should be able to lift 75lbs. Operate the Genie lift up to heights of 36 feet, be able to work from step ladders and extension ladders as well as scaffolding.
Work Environment:
The work of this class involves evening, weekend, and holiday work. This position requires mandatory overtime as needed. GMT may be asked to work outdoors as well as indoors on any ASM property. Must be well groomed and wear full uniform in accordance with ASM policy and procedure manual
