Amazon is seeking for an experienced program manager to support business growth at Amazon Music Japan by driving strategic monetization initiatives. Improving discoverability and accessibility of music merch for Amazon Music customers will be the initial focus. As Sr. Program Manager, you will be responsible for executing projects, sharing knowledge and influencing WW product teams across domains, with strong bias for action in getting things done in internet time, whilst maintaining an analytical and process driven approach for prioritization and decision making.

The role is very broad based and will require an individual who is motivated to make a big impact and excited to be a part of a cross-category group working with different partners across the globe. You will be working with diverse and fast growing business teams in Amazon, including Entertainment Media, Softline and Prime team in JP, as well as Merch/Fan Commerce team in US and various worldwide product owners.

Key job responsibilities

  • Conduct analysis through hands on approach to data mining, and define success criteria for music merch discoverability and accessibility

  • Identify and define projects that deliver results for music merch

  • Partner with global teams in designing, building, and deploying scalable solutions

  • Manage prioritization and trade-offs for speed to market, business performance and features

  • Build a mechanism to track progress, and provide timely update to relevant stakeholders in Japan and WW

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of program or project management experience

  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

  • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

  • Strong written and spoken communication skills in both English and Japanese

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams

  • Knowledge of SQL or desire to learn.
