アマゾンは、世界で最も多くの品揃えをカスタマーへ提供する為に、日々、数百万点にもおよぶ商品を全国のアマゾン倉庫へ入荷しています。急激に増える入荷物量に対し、スケーラブルなサプライチェーンを設計し、商品をより早く、また適切な配置で在庫化する事を目指します。

今回、アマゾンは入荷に係る新規サービスの立ち上げ、入荷サプライチェーンの構築をリードするプロジェクトマネージャーを募集します。

アマゾン倉庫が成長に合わせて年々増加するにつれて、サプライヤーの納品にかかる物流費の増加は、アマゾンがサプライヤーと持続的なビジネス環境を維持する上で、大きな問題の一つとなっています。

こうした問題解決のために、アマゾンはサプライヤーの納品の利便性を向上する為のサービス開発や、サプライチェーンの構築に取り組んできました。

本ポジションは、こうしたサービス開発やサプライチェーン構築のプロジェクトを、プロジェクトマネージャーとして推進する役割を担います。以下が本ポジションの役割詳細になります。

■グローバルとの連携、サプライチェーンの刷新

本ポジションでは、日本国内のニーズに合わせたサプライチェーンの構築を目指すだけなく、グローバルで新規に開発、展開されているシステムや、エンジニアリングソリューションの動向を調査、把握します。エンジニアリングチームとの連携を通して新しいサプライチェーンの姿を模索し、サプライチェーンの刷新をリードします

■プロジェクトマネジメント

本ポジションでは、新規サービスにおけるビジネス要件を販売管理チームと協議しながら明らかにし、サプライチェーン構築に向けての要件定義を行います。その上で、倉庫、輸送の各オペレーションチーム、エンジニアリングチーム、システム開発チームと連携しながら、新規サービスオペレーションの立ち上げを推進します。

■データ分析

サプライチェーン構築においては、将来に向けて必要な倉庫、輸送のキャパシティ分析をおこない、急拡大するアマゾンのビジネスをサポートできるスケーラブルな入荷サプライチェーンの構築を目指します。

具体的には、過去のビジネス成長率のトレンドや、将来のビジネスの拡大計画をインプットとして、テクノロジーの導入やエンジニアリング設備の導入で変化していく倉庫や輸送オペレーションの前提も踏まえた上で、中長期でのキャパシティリスクの分析、倉庫立ち上げ計画の提案をし、サプライチェーンの刷新を進めます。

プロジェクト推進において、課題定義、成果を測るためのメトリクス・KPIの設計、データ分析、実行の一連のプロセスを回し、課題の解決に取り組んで頂く事を期待されます。

また問題が発生した場合には問題分析に取り組み、データや事実を積み上げて問題構造を明らかにしていく事が求められます。

To provide customers with the widest selection of products in the world, Amazon brings in millions of items to its warehouses across the country on a daily basis. Faced with the rapidly growing volume of incoming inventory, Amazon aims to design a scalable supply chain that can stock products more quickly and in the appropriate locations.

Now, Amazon is seeking a project manager to lead the launch of new inbound services and the development of the inbound supply chain.

As Amazon's warehouses continue to grow, the increasing logistics costs for supplier deliveries have become a major challenge in maintaining a sustainable business environment with suppliers. To address these issues, Amazon has been working on developing new services to improve the convenience of supplier deliveries, as well as building out its supply chain. This position will be responsible for driving these service development and supply chain building projects as a project manager. The detailed responsibilities are as follows:

■ Global Collaboration and Supply Chain Transformation

In this role, you will not only aim to build a supply chain tailored to the needs of the Japanese market, but also investigate and stay informed on new systems and engineering solutions being developed and deployed globally. By collaborating with the engineering team, you will explore the shape of the new supply chain and lead the transformation.

■ Project Management

In this role, you will clarify the business requirements for new services in collaboration with the sales management team, and define the requirements for building the supply chain. You will then work with the warehouse, transportation, engineering, and system development teams to drive the launch of the new service operations.

■ Data Analysis

In building the supply chain, you will conduct capacity analysis for warehouses and transportation to aim for a scalable inbound supply chain that can support Amazon's rapidly growing business. Specifically, you will analyze long-term capacity risks and propose warehouse launch plans, taking into account the trends in past business growth, future business expansion plans, and the changing assumptions of warehouse and transportation operations due to the introduction of technology and engineering facilities.

In driving the project, you are expected to go through the process of defining challenges, designing metrics and KPIs to measure outcomes, conducting data analysis, and executing solutions to address the issues. Additionally, when problems arise, you will be required to analyze the problems, accumulating data and facts to elucidate the problem structure.

Key job responsibilities

主な業務内容は以下となります。

◆ サプライヤー、キャリアが納品に際して直面している課題を理解した上で、納品ルール・プロセスの見直しを通してアマゾン倉庫への入荷サプライチェーンの改善を行います。

◆メトリクス/KPIを定義し、現場のオペレーションチームとレビュープロセスを構築します。ビジネスアナリストと協力して必要なデータの定義、データソースの作成、定期的なレビューとデータ分析を行うと共に、問題の整理とアクションの設定を行い、問題解決に取り組みます。

◆新しいサービスの立ち上げ、サプライチェーン構築のプロジェクトでは、事業部の中に留まらず、販売管理部門、倉庫、輸送部門のオペレーション担当者、国内外のシステム担当者等、各部署と連携しながらプロジェクトを推進します。

◆ Understanding the challenges faced by suppliers and carriers in making deliveries, you will lead the improvement of the inbound supply chain to Amazon's warehouses by reviewing delivery rules and processes.

◆ You will define metrics and KPIs, and establish a review process with the operational teams on the ground. Collaborating with business analysts, you will define the necessary data, create data sources, conduct regular reviews and data analysis. You will also organize the issues, set actions, and work on problem-solving.

◆ For new service launches and supply chain building projects, you will not be limited to your own business unit, but will drive the projects by collaborating with the sales management department, warehouse and transportation operations personnel, and domestic and international system personnel across various departments.

About the team

Inbound Network Planningチームのミッションは、サプライヤーとアマゾンをつなぐのサプライチェーンをより効率的に革新していく事です。

現在は10名のチームとなり、今後3年間で事業規模を大きく拡大する為に、さらに組織の拡大を進めて行きます。メンバーはメーカーや物流会社だけでなく、コンサルタント業界、銀行のシステム管理、化粧品業界の営業の経験者など、様々なバックグラウンドを持つメンバーがいます。新しくチームに入るメンバーも意見交換を通して、多様な考え方や知識を得る事ができ、新しい視点からアイデアを考えていける環境と言えます。

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years of program or project management experience

• Bachelor's degree

• Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)

• Business level of Japanese and Basic English (written, verbal, reading and listening).

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience

• 3+ years of driving process improvements experience

• Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization

• Experience building processes, project management, and schedules
