Amazon Program Manager, Consumer Research in Tokyo, Japan

Description

Japan Consumer Innovation (JCI) Retail Scaling Team is seeking a Program Manager who contributes to our mission of bringing Amazon selling partners closer to customers and driving Amazon Flywheel.

This role combines hands on research design, internal and external stakeholder management, and quality assurance to deliver insights to our selling partners. This is a unique opportunity to impact a growing B2B product, interact with our selling partners, and own a vision of quality in research.

Key job responsibilities

• Design research directly with both external and internal partners

• Develop quality control mechanisms for research product

• Maintain research quality, perform QA Audits, and diligently troubleshoot issues.

• Interact with stakeholders at multiple levels and in multiple locations, work with business, marketing, tech, data and legal teams

• Anticipate bottlenecks, anticipate and make tradeoffs, and balance business needs versus seller needs

We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:

Tokyo, 13, JPN

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of program or project management experience

  • 3+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Business level English (written and verbal)

  • Business level Japanese (written and verbal)

  • Familiarity with survey research design and methodology

  • Ability to deal with ambiguity, and respond flexibly to changes in a fast paced, international environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years experience designing market research

  • 2+ years experience in external facing B2B role
