Philips Legal Counsel in Tokyo, Japan

Privacy Officer:

In collaboration with Global Privacy Team and local business functions, enable and drive the Privacy compliance program through effective implementation of Philips Privacy Framework in Japan.

Your role:

  • Implement and promoted the Privacy Compliance Program in the region.

  • Provide legal/operational support to the businesses in Philips Japan.

  • Provide appropriate and timely training and increase awareness of privacy and data protection.

  • Provide feedback to Global Privacy Team and business units on local regulations and practices for the development and deployment of products and services.

  • Lead response to privacy incidents.

  • Handle with privacy requests and privacy Authority Investigations / Litigations.

  • Collaborate with global and local team for further privacy and security programs.

You're the right fit if: (4 x bullets max)

  • 3+ years of experience in legal role. Privacy roles is preferrable.

  • Self-motivated and able to prioritize to handle multiple tasks/responsibilities.

  • Maintain knowledge of privacy laws(APPI, GDPR)

  • Fluent in Japanese and English.

  • Bachelor, Master or Doctor degree in law or other relevant subject.

  • CIPP or other privacy certificates is a plus.
