Description

Today, more than half of the products sold on Amazon are from marketplace Sellers. Amazon Marketplace has grown into a huge part of Amazon and is still growing at a very fast pace. We are seeking a passionate and experienced Sales operation leader to accelerate the new seller recruiting by lead management.

New Seller is the life blood of our Marketplace business and makes up a significant portion of both the active Seller base and selection contribution. We rely on new Sellers to bring our customers more selection, better pricing and experience. We place great focus on building a healthy new Seller recruiting which determines the future and potential of Amazon Marketplace. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who excels at data-driven decision making; thrives in a high-performance culture; embraces ambiguity with critical thinking; collaborates effectively and influence leaders in Japan and worldwide, both in Amazon as well as outside of Amazon; and ultimately delivers results through constant innovation and flawless execution.

Key job responsibilities

-Build/evolve lead generation and prioritization mechanism for new Seller recruiting by analyzing target segments and identify high-potential lead sources.

-Identify growth opportunities by critically challenging existing sales operation mechanism, and create plans to achieve these targets by influencing key stakeholders.

-Proactively identify and resolve strategic issues that may impair the team's ability to meet business goals, and escalate quickly to remove blockers.

-Lead weekly, monthly, quarterly business reviews with senior leadership.

-Manage weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual planning cycles in partnership with Finance and the rest of the Amazon organization.

-Hire and develop talent within the team. Build a high-performing team

-Bring and lead innovative ideas to further drive new Seller recruiting

Basic Qualifications

-Minimum 6 years of working experience, ideally in consulting or project management

-Japanese/ English – fluent level including verbal and written communication

-Passion for metrics and quantitative analysis, and ability to turn analysis into action plans

-Relentless commitment to business goals and delivering results by influencing others and rolling up your sleeves

-Ability to deal with ambiguity, and respond flexibly to changes, in a very fast-paced, international environment

-Bachelor’s degree

-Experience in business strategy consultation

-Skills in communication with senior executives
