Red Hat Manager, Consulting Services in Tokyo, Japan

Job Summary:

The Red Hat Consulting team is looking for a Manager focusing on consulting services to join us in Japan. In this role, you will develop, cultivate, and manage relationships within key customer accounts. You will oversee the successful delivery of projects under your management from kickoff to closeout, including determining scope details and monitoring project progress to ensure that they conform to customer expectations and contractual agreements. You will also help identify and qualify new business opportunities and work with the Red Hat Sales team to formulate account strategies that promote revenue growth. As a Manager, you will work with Red Hat’s sales representatives to guide consulting sales opportunities from qualification to closing while managing all assigned projects and resources and meeting revenue, margin, and booking goals. You'll manage senior and associate consultants including one-on-ones, support in escalation situations, performance and development conversations, and general team coordination with architects and project managers within your region. You’ll need to have a good foundation of technical knowledge, as well as project and scope management expertise, as you'll establish the technical and non-technical enablement needs for the Consulting team.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Define the business strategy of your territory to meet territory booking goals and manage opportunity pipelines.

  • Design and implement effective, high-impact services solutions for Red Hat's customers with a focus on our cloud technologies, Red Hat OpenShift, and Ansible.

  • Sell Red Hat's solutions using your customers' business requirements to create unique consulting offerings.

  • Support presales and scoping of Consulting Solutions

  • Grow your territory through the development of internal business partnerships with the Field Sales team and alliance and partner programs

  • Coordinate with the Marketing team to lead services opportunity plans and campaigns for accounts within your territory.

  • Accurately and consistently provide revenue and booking forecasts for your territory.

  • Ensure successful delivery of all projects by monitoring project status and customer satisfaction.

  • Plan staffing requirements and develop consulting resources.

  • Manage a team of approximately 10 consultants and build a high performing team through your coaching and support to consultants.

  • プロジェクトの状況と顧客満足度をモニタリングし、すべてのプロジェクトが成功裏に完了するようにする。

  • 必要な人員を計画し、コンサルティングリソースを開発する。

  • 約10名のコンサルタントチームを管理し、コーチングやサポートを通じて、高いパフォーマンスを発揮できるチームを構築する。

Required Skills:

  • Knowledge of technical or business consulting practices

  • Project delivery experience

  • Experience of consulting sales engagement with internal sales team

  • Ability to architect complex solutions using multiple offerings and technologies to deliver requested business value

  • Customer engagementment skill with Sr. leadership of customer

  • Solid people management skills

  • Experience adhering to agile methodologies within project teams

  • Knowledge of application development or cloud solutions creation and delivery

  • Experience with speaking and ability to speak at public conferences and meetups

  • Native Japanese language skill

  • Business level English language skill
