Amazon Web Services is seeking bright, motivated, hardworking member to fill Data center Logistics Associate positions. The ideal candidate possesses a strong work ethic, attention to detail, the ability to meet deadlines, and a commitment to Operational Excellence. Logistics Associates receive parts, maintain inventory, and check-out parts as needed to Data center Technicians and Engineers. You will also be responsible for shipping and receiving parts between different locations. This position involves frequent lifting of materials and products. Logistic Associates will be required to keep precise records of all commodities going in and out of company and maintain the cleanliness, organization, and safety of all work spaces.

Work Environment

· Work with and/or around electronic parts

· Mostly work in a quiet environment, but occasionally work in a 75db noise level environment (comparable to industrial grade fan)

· International, inclusive, and friendly environment

· 8 working hours (9:00-18:00) on business days

· Flextime available

· Most of the work will be inside an office/storage room with air conditioning and computer. Occasionally will happen to work outside for shipment support.

Key job responsibilities

· Receive, process, and maintain accurate inventory records of incoming and outgoing parts.

· Fulfill internal customer requests by locating, retrieving, and checking out parts.

· Travel to other locations to provide on-site support including shipping, receiving, packing, unpacking, and verifying contents.

· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

· Travel to other locations to provide on-site support as needed.

· Willing to perform physical tasks such as: lifting boxes up to 18kg (support from teammates is available); kneeling or squatting while moving/storing items.

· Walking within the premises of the site often, using hand carts to move parts from one place to another

· Identify opportunities for process improvements and optimize process is a plus

Requirements:

· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure inventory accuracy.

· Willingness to take on physically demanding tasks, including frequent lifting and handling materials.

· Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with internal stakeholders.

· Flexibility to support logistics in different locations.

A day in the life

As an AWS Logistics Specialist L2, your primary internal stakeholders are the data center technicians who rely on you to quickly source and deliver the server and rack parts they need to maintain critical infrastructure. Acting as a customer-obsessed partner, you'll manage requests from the customers, shipping and receiving, in compliance to the SLAs and policy to solve their day-to-day challenges. This involves reviewing tickets, locating parts in the storage room, packing and shipping parts, and conducting cycle counts to ensure accuracy. Maintain the storage room organized and safe for our customers and team.

Basic Qualifications

  • High school or equivalent diploma

  • Experience with Microsoft Office products and applications

  • Work 40 hours/week, and overtime as required

  • Japanese and English conversational skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Process Improvement, SQL and dashboard experience
