Nike Lead, Retail Brand Professional Value Japan in Tokyo, Japan

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We are looking for a retail marketing professional to join as Lead, Retail Brand Professional Value in our Tokyo-based marketing team. Focusing on the Nike Value store channel, experience with in-store communication planning, styling direction and seasonal execution of experiences are critical to this role.

WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?

As part of Retail Marketing team, you will work on programming seasonal direction for Nike Value stores. You will work alongside Nike Direct Inline stores to execute cross-channel projects and seasonal stories. You will lead seasonal and non-seasonal marketing plan development, briefing and providing direction for implementing execution across Japan. This includes the development of in-store signage for promotions and sale events based on our brand playbook. You will lead and develop new store opening and renewal opening plans for Nike Unite stores as necessary and manage annual marketing budget for Nike Value stores.

WHO WILL YOU WORK WITH?

You will be the point person in Marketing team, including visual merchandising and styling for Nike Value stores to execute seasonal and non-seasonal projects, reporting to the Retail Marketing Director, Japan. On a daily basis, you will be supporting a large, diverse team of Nike team members with a variety of management styles, as well as managing external agencies, suppliers, and vendors.

You will work with internal cross-functional partners across Retail Marketing, Brand Management, Japan Nike Direct Stores Headquarter, Demand and Supply Management (DSM) and Supply Chain teams to ensure we deliver premium, Nike-only consumer experience that drive engagement and deliver expected business results. You will also partner closely with Asia Pacific Latin America (APLA) geography counterparts and cross functional teams to execute retail concept marketing direction and brand standards that set expectations for fleet expansion and elevation.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelor’s degree or anything equivalent.

  • Minimum 2 years of experience working at retail store or 1 year of retail marketing or both.

  • Experience in production management in marketing and managing advertisement agencies is a plus.

  • Strong oral and written communications skills (in Japanese and English).

  • Domestic travel required for market visits and new store openings at least once per season.
