The IT Support Specialist role for Leica Biosystems is responsible to manage and deliver IT services and projects which are initiated by region or global. Lead Japan EUSS team to continuously drive improvements in leveraging DBS tools like VOC, Standard Work, Daily Management and PSP, etc. This role will also demonstrate IT’s value to business by being a business partner to understand their needs and requirements and follow up with proper planning and implementation to support them. This role will ensure incidents and project requests are properly managed & triaged with global / regional team if needed. He will build a best-in-class IT support services team within Singapore to support our growing portfolio of business.

This position is part of the IT End User Service Support located in Tokyo Office and will be full Onsite Support. At Leica Biosystems, our vision is to advance cancer diagnostics and improve lives.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Work closely with Team Lead EUSS (Japan & Singapore) to oversee the IT support and Service Delivery for all Japan offices and users

  • Work closely with the business and function leaders in Japan and OneIT EUSS leaders in JAPAC and Global to provide IT guidance and assistance to support their business requirements.

  • Provide general technical support/coaching to team members when required and/or identify the correct resource to assist the team

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Diploma/Degree in IT or IT-related discipline

  • Minimum 3 years of total IT experience, with at least 2 years of experience in end user support environment (Windows-Networking based) and at least 1 years of Service Desk support and/or Management

  • Experience installing, configuring, troubleshooting and supporting Windows OS and applications and including Window server files share management and Active Directory management

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements

  • Employee is eligible to receive commuting allowance according to the company regulations, where applicable.

  • Ability to travel - 10-20% travel, overnight, within Japan territory or locations (Fukuoka, Nagoya, Osaka)

  • Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record

  • Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up to 20KG as there will be some IT equipment to be changed

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Being Bi-lingual in speaking both Japanese and English

  • ITIL certification or training is a plus

出張、車両記録および物理/環境要件:

  • 従業員は、適用される場合、会社規定に従って通勤手当を受け取る資格があります

  • 日本国内の地域(福岡、名古屋、大阪)での10-20%の出張、宿泊を伴う出張が可能であること

  • 有効な運転免許証を持ち、適切な運転記録があること

  • 20KGまでの機器を持ち上げ、移動し、または運ぶ能力があること(IT機器の交換が必要な場合があるため)
