Philips IT Business Manager in Tokyo, Japan
Role Summary
The IT Business Application Manager in this role provides strategic IT services to business organization, including Process compliance, Process improvement, application convergence and continuous communication.
The IT Business Application Manager is the bridging instance between the businesses, functions, sales and service geographies and the Philips IT function. Key tasks are to ensure that the Business objectives are supported and enabled by IT (Projects and programs), that IT works according to expectations (Operational Excellence) that the business is satisfied with Philips IT services and solutions and that the costs are in line with the targets.
Key Areas of Responsibilities
Engage with business/region/function stakeholders below MT on more tactical topics
Assist stakeholders in articulating problems, crafting business cases and preparation for submission of budget approvals
Apply quality in requirements evaluation, their value underpinning and priority setting
Collaborate across the IT and business community with relevant experts
Explore qualified needs with process owning roles & architects for suitable solutions
Manage assigned projects in quality, time, and budget, including active contribution to steering committees and fostering business readiness and risk management
Contribute to and manage assigned projects for success including fit gap, UAT, aftercare
Track committed value creation by IT initiatives and communicate achievements
Foster adoption, adherence and continuous improvement in execution with provided IT systems, support business change management and key user identification
Support compliance matters in IT initiatives, such as business / privacy impact assessment & security
Active role in alignment with certain platforms, COEs and PSEs
Qualifications & Requirements
5+ years of relevant experience in a related domain of business knowledge/expertise or IT solution background.
2-3 years of web development experience in Microsoft Apps (e.g. SharePoint, Power Automate, PowerApp, etc.)
2-3 years of Project Management experience, based on Project Management Methodology (Preferred)
A good grasp of technologies in Data analytics, Information and Data Management will be advantageous
Bachelor’s degree Level
Good at stakeholder management with empathy, solid communication and written skills (verbal and written Japanese and English).
Strong interpersonal skills, strong team player
Independent and self-motivated
Competence in IT processes (DevSecOps, Agile, etc.)
