Job Description

The Opportunity

Role Summary:

Partnering with HR team, accounting team, Payroll Vendor to execute HR operations including payroll related tasks. Follow to conduct all payroll processes, work on the process design phase, and improve a continuous and existing process but not limited to;

Job Description:

  • OperateDefined benefit (DB plan) and other retirement allowance payment.

  • Employee Company Housing arrangement.

  • Operations related to Leave of Absence.

  • Regular payroll/ bonus operations (monthly, yearly, ad-hoc, year-end tax adjustment) .

  • Social insurance administration

  • Refurbishment, management, administration of WEB attendance system.

  • Participating in accounting and tax audits and Labor Standards Inspection Office investigations.

Other Responsibilities

  • Provide information and work closely with stakeholders in HR and/or other departments as needed.

  • Work with company housing vendor and payroll vendor

  • Any other additional tasks and duties required.

Skills & Experience (Must Have):

  • 5 years of experience in HR operation

  • Vendor management experience to process BAU operation.

  • Familiar with MS Office suite (Excel, outlook, Word).

  • Strong knowledge on Japan tax, statutory and labor regulations.

  • Experienced in Social Insurance processes and its law.

  • English Business Level Reading and Writing (TOEIC 700)

  • Experience using English in a business environment.

  • Problem solving skills and teamwork/ Co-operation skills.

  • Fast learner, detail-oriented and can work collaboratively within and outside other HR functions.

Skills & Experience (Nice to Have):

  • Prior experience in using Workday, SAP payroll system, ADP Global View is an advantage.

  • Experience to work in operational projectsPrior experience that involves implementing or replacing HR systems/ improving existing processes is a plus.

  • Conversational skills in English is a plus as this will allow the grow in the organization.

Internal Guidelines about Work from Home:

Hybrid Model, following Manulife’s Working Better guidelines.

Over time:

20-30 hours/month.

Salary:

Based on our Work Rules, we will consider your experience, skills and knowledge when we decide the salary.

Commutation allowance and Variable Incentive Bonus are paid based on our Work Rules.

Working Hours:

Standard Working Hours: 9:00am - 5:00pm (Include 1 hour break. Flex-time system available)
