Purpose of Role

The Health, Safety and Environment (“HSE”) Coordinator works with HSE Committee Members, all the Sales Leaders and the Client's(HQ勤務)employees to:

  • Continually improve employee and third party (contractors, temporary workers, suppliers) health and safety, environmental protection, in all activities.

  • Assist in the development, implementation and maintenance of HSE strategies and programs that ensure safe working practices and a proactive safety culture.

  • Develop systems to ensure compliance with all legal regulations, industry guidelines and company policies and procedures.

  • Support all training and continuous improvement activities and assist in the development & / or delivery of HSE training, such as Road Safety and Ergonomics.

Technical Competencies

Leadership & Culture

  • Support HSE Committee Members, all the Sales Leaders and Client's employees to promote HSE culture and values

  • Develop & maintain the HSE committee

  • Support HSE manager to promote HSE good practices & raise HSE awareness to support a proactive organization including training, communication programs such as Yammer communication and events

  • Support HSE manager to conduct regulatory compliance review & gap analysis

  • Deploy health promotion and wellness programs

Organisation & Systems

  • Support the HSE Manager to implement the HSE Management system including (but not limited to):

  • Risk assessment

  • Road Safety Policy

  • PASS (HSE & Security Annual Action Plan)

  • Contractor HSE Compliance

  • Ergonomics Assessments

  • Training, audits & inspections

  • Accident reporting and Investigations

  • Other elements outlined in the HSE Policy and Requirements

  • Investigate incidents and develop improvement programs

  • Complete monthly and annual reporting (SHERPA, Dashboard)

Facilities & Equipment

  • Monitor HSE regulations, company standards and ensure compliance

  • Coordinate Fire Protection system maintenance schedules

  • Coordinate Workplace Inspection weekly

  • Coordinate energy efficiency, recycling programs and environment initiatives

Establish, develop and maintain a relationship with:

  • Facility Manager, Procurement and Road Safety Chair - Sustainability Program implementation

  • Each GBU – Road Safety

  • Medical Room, HR, Wellbeing Taskforce – Employee health

  • IA site – Over all Japan HSE issue

Facility Management

  • Proceed with regular Car Fleet audits and monitor corrective action plans

  • FM Newsletter posting

Major Challenges

  • Promoting a proactive Road Safety culture across GBU

  • Improvement of participation rate of EatWell and FeelGood

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Ability to communicate effectively within HSE community including presentations.

  • Problem solving

  • Strong research and analytical skills

  • Sound understanding of legislative issues
