Google Field Sales Manager, Greenfield, Google Cloud in Tokyo, Japan

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 5 years of experience in Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) or Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) sales roles in cloud companies.

  • 5 years of experience promoting IT infrastructure to greenfield startups, digital native and traditional accounts, either on premises or moving the cloud.

  • 5 years of experience leading and managing a team.

  • Ability to communicate in Japanese fluently to communicate with local and regional partners, customers, and stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 12 years of experience in field sales in the technology industry, promoting Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) or Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS).

  • Experience working on 50 -100 field sales accounts in a year.

  • Knowledge of data and networking technologies, the global cloud computing market, and key drivers for growth in the goal industry segment.

  • Knowledge of various Google Cloud technologies to drive technology adoption within the existing account base.

  • Ability to communicate in English fluently at business level to support client relationship management.

In this role, you'll be responsible for the market success of our products, including Google Cloud Platform and Google Workspace, and for the promotion of our business and cloud solutions. You will impact business goals through teamwork and programmatic engagement, and work with internal teams to define/achieve strategic goals. This will involve working with field marketing to build campaigns, tailoring business assets/tools to the market segment, providing business teams the support they need for customers, and working with success teams to implement programs that drive growth. You'll create and participate in external thought leadership events, advocate the products/solutions in the region and help validate and refine the overall product plan, positioning, and go-to-market strategies.

  • Lead and implement go-to-market propositions in a given business sector and collaborate with teams to produce a focused proposition.

  • Build and maintain relationships (CEO and CXOs) to influence direction and act as an advisor to the customer. Work with the Google account teams to develop pipelines and provide guidance.

  • Collaborate with sales, engineering, marketing resources, and partner companies to provide input on current collateral materials on how to improve the Google Cloud Platform.

  • Build a pipeline of customers within selected verticals.
