Our network of drivers and delivery service providers is growing rapidly, and to support this growth we are looking for a highly-skilled Business Analyst to join our team in Amazon Logistics Japan.

This unique role will focus on deep-diving into data, translation of business problems into requirements for analysis, reporting, dashboard creation, process automation and modelling initiatives in AMZL JP.

This role will deliver critical business insights for stakeholders to drive last mile strategy, market competitiveness, network expansion, technology deployment, pricing, compliance, improvement in cost, quality and productivity.

Key job responsibilities

• Enable effective decision making by retrieving and aggregating data from multiple sources and compiling it into actionable reports/dashboards.

• Translate data into actionable insights.

• Develop requirements for business initiatives.

• Analyze key business metrics to drive business insight.

• Identify processes to automate and scale ad-hoc requests and analyses.

• Design, develop and maintain scaled, automated, user-friendly systems, reports, dashboards, etc. that will support our business needs.

• Solve complex problems by building effective models.

• Participate in strategic and tactical planning discussions.

• Write strategy papers to support executive decision-making.

A day in the life

Last Mile Execution Analytics (LMEA) team of JP works as an integral part of Amazon Logistics to ensure that its business intelligence, analytics, tools and planning needs are met. By providing information, insight, and decision support, we strive to enable success of all parts of AMZL. Our customer set includes senior management, station operations, external vendors, long-term planning, Ops technology (Voice of the Delivery Station, Voice of the Customer), network planning, and pretty much every BI and Ops teams

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years of Excel (including VBA, pivot tables, array functions, power pivots, etc.) and data visualization tools such as Tableau experience

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent

• Experience with SQL

• Experience in tax, finance or a related analytical field

• Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights

• Experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders

• Business Level English

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience

• 3+ years of driving process improvements experience

• Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization

• Experience building processes, project management, and schedules

• Excited about working in a diverse group and contributing to an inclusive culture
