JOB PURPOSE AND SCOPE

Reporting to Freight & Distribution Manager, this individual will coordinate daily import and export transactions. Individual will instruct freight forwarders and custom brokers to ensure timely movement of freight ensuring compliance of all laws and regulations including company policies. Support activities within a 3PL distribution center/warehouse or Support to supervise 3PL employees to accomplish some or all of the following: shipping, receiving, inventory control and final packaging for finished goods and hardware(fixed assets) in an efficient and cost effective manner following all levels of compliance.

CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for the daily import and export activities.

  • Instructing customs brokers and freight forwarders on the clearance of import/export transactions. This includes generating shipping documentation and working closely with the requester on specific to imports or exports.

  • Assist in the creation and adherence of export and import compliance policies and procedures.

  • Support warehouse activity, including receiving, inspection, inventory management, shipping, delivery through freight forwarder networks.

  • Communication to work with global and domestic team on internal and external customer correspondence.

  • Performance Tracking / Reporting / Analysis (KPI, cost control, analysis of discrepancy)

  • Service quality management which includes handling of delivery delays, delivery errors, damages, etc.

  • Inventory management with SAP according to SOX requirement.

  • Multi-functional issue resolution to troubleshoot errors between SAP/WMS interface / systems and physical products.

  • SOP follow through, revision / updates and Training management to align with QMS requirements.

  • Continuous Kaizen / Process and Logistics improvement focusing on safety, cost, efficiency to support fulfillment.

SUPERVISORY/MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES ( if applicable )

REQUIRED & PREFERRED S KILLS / KNOWLEDG E / EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

  • Business level English communication skills required. (TOIEC 700+)

  • 4 year college degree or equivalent, minimum B.A. / B.S certification preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, a related field, or equivalent preferred

  • An advanced credential, such as an MBA, MA, or MS in a relevant discipline preferred

  • 3-10 year s of experience working in highly regulated warehousing environment preferred

  • SAP or ERP usage experience / SAP ERP-WMS interfacing experience preferred

  • 3PL / Vendor / Service Provider Management experience preferred

  • Lean / Six Sigma / Equivalent Continuous Improvement knowledge preferred

  • Ability to work effectively within a team in a fast-paced changing environment preferred
