Do you appreciate the design thinking aspect of crafting digital experiences, including the market discovery, problem definition, conceptualization, and then execution phases of a program? Role:

The position role would include driving a technology strategy for digital patient capabilities within our Innovative Medicines North America & GCSO organization, partnering with business leaders, functional and enterprise teams, engineers, developers, vendors, external agencies and partners. As product manager, you will lead feature/functionality business case analysis, governance, financials, and customer experience strategy.

Responsibilities for the leading candidate would include building patient-related digital experiences including, but not limited to, those related to our Pulmonary Hypertension (PH) Patient Companion Portal, public front door websites, and other brand-related experiences as integrated to our patient services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partnering across the Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine brands to identify customer needs, perform market research analysis, competitive landscape discovery, and MVP definition to help generate a rich product roadmap

  • Collaborating with multi-functional business and technology partners to align needs and requirements; translating business opportunities to technology solutions with engineering, solution architecture and development teams

  • Embodying core principles of product management in the ownership, definition and implementation the product backlog, product design and engineering, and product release schedules. Responsible to help set, communicate and keep team aligned on sprint goals.

  • Responsible for end-to-end quality and delivery of platform implementation and product strategy

  • Driving a test-and-learn environment throughout the team by reimagining scope and testing product ideas with prescriptive activities and outcomes, and incorporating overall business objectives, market and compliance needs and financial drivers.

  • Enacting processes, governance, operational and communications structures to deliver with consistency, quality, compliance and speed.

  • Identifying industry trends and work closely with internal and external partners to establish new technologies and capabilities in addressing evolving needs across digital channels.

  • Continuously evaluate the performance of digital customer experiences, using analytics and user insights to identify areas for improvement.

Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business, Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or a similar field. Advanced degree or relevant study preferred.

Experience and Skills:

Required:

  • 5 years of demonstrated ability in the role of product owner / manager including product vision, value proposition, MVP definition, usability testing, customer / market research, and defining go to market strategies.

  • Adept at autonomously owning an entire product backlog including authoring of user stories with well-defined acceptance criteria, and comprehension of TDD/BDD (Test-Driven / Behavioral-Driven Development) methodologies

  • Familiarity with usability testing, A/B testing, and other user research methods.

  • Intimately familiar with Agile/Kanban ways of working and incorporating principles of Lean/HPT into the development and execution of the product development lifecycle

  • Strong problem-solving, design thinking, communication and influencing skills, including ability to drive adoption of new thinking and approaches

  • Project Management experience delivering medium to large scale digital projects from concept through delivery and supporting continued operations

  • An ability to analyze and understand data and trends and deliver process improvement plans to address opportunity areas identified, and assess and report on performance and value delivery

  • Track record of successful collaboration and relationship building with marketing teams, IT colleagues, agency partners and technology vendors

  • Demonstrated success in team leadership, talent development, collaboration, and encouraging diversity and inclusion.

  • Desire to continually advance personal and team knowledge of digital trends and advances in the industry.

Preferred:

  • Experience in pharmaceutical or life sciences industry

  • Digital experience platform (DXP) experience with rich and segmented portals and systems using Adobe, Sitecore or similar.

  • Software engineering or systems design / architecture experience

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $99,000- $170,200.

The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.
