This role is a high impact position with the opportunity to partner with leaders in medicine, data science, health economics, and marketing to craft the future of one of the world’s largest healthcare businesses. In the GCSO Technology team, we work to grow the value of our pipeline of innovative medicines by identifying and acting upon opportunities for technology-enabled, data-driven product development and go-to-market strategy. We use digital health, data science, and digital marketing to help detect disease earlier, increase patient access to novel medicines, and educate health care providers and people on new care options.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as engineering lead and work with product managers, designers, solution architects, etc, to develop roadmaps, frameworks, reference architectures, and artifacts.

  • Hold a leadership role in strategy, architecture, and engineering of GCSO platforms and capabilities serving broad initiatives in healthcare technology.

  • Direct Full Stack engineer teams to build end-to-end systems optimized for speed and scale.

  • Conduct software design, architecture, requirements analysis, investigation of new technologies, and software development.

  • Partner with the core development team and product managers to define and estimate business requirements and translate them into specific software tasks

  • Work internally with peers leading other aspects of our digital strategy (ex. digital marketing, sales force enablement, AI/ML, and GenAI).

  • Be a champion of cultural change, process change, and skills training required to transform and scale the teams.

Qualifications

Qualifications

Education:

  • A bachelor's degree in computer science, information science or related field, or equivalent experience is required; an advanced degree is preferred

Experience and Skills:

Required:

  • 6 years of experience or equivalent in digital, software engineering, information or IT management is required

  • Experience architecting, developing, and launching n-tier applications that include web, mobile, and back-end connectivity in a healthcare setting

  • Experience with the architecture and design of highly scalable, fault tolerant, and highly secure applications targeted at the healthcare space

  • Experience with one or more of the following programming languages: Python, JavaScript, Java, SQL, and Golang

  • Experience with web development including at least one of these technologies: REACT, Flask, Fastapi, GraphQL, Node.JS, and Ruby On Rails

  • Experience with data modeling and using databases such as Oracle DB, PostgreSQL, MySQL.

  • Production experience with container technologies (Docker/Kubernetes).

  • Experience with source code management using Git/Bitbucket

  • Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) services

  • Strong ability to mentor, coach, review, and grow technical teams and talent

  • Ability to handle complexity and ambiguity is required.

  • Experience with agile software development processes is required.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is 135000 to 232300.

Bonus : - The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.

  • Vacation – up to 120 hours per calendar year

  • Sick time - up to 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington – up to 56 hours per calendar year

  • Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays – up to 13 days per calendar year of Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year
