Eaton Corporation Supply Chain Degree Apprentice in Titchfield, United Kingdom

What you’ll do:

Eaton's Fuel & Motion Control Systems Division has an opening for 2 Degree Apprentices within the Supply Chain Department. 1 vacancy will sit within the Planning team, and one within the Purchasing team. If you have a preference on area, please state this in your application.

The roles will be based at the Titchfield site on a 37 hour per week contract with university release and study time included.

The successful candidates will undertake a fully funded 3-year BSc (Hons) Professional Practice in Supply Chain Leadership through Leeds Trinity University. The course will be delivered through a blended learning approach, consisting of virtual lectures and seminars, alongside periodical block release for face-to-face learning.

Eaton will provide a detailed training programme, focus actively learn and support the plant’s goals by deploying skills in the areas of supply chain management, that will lead to sustained improvements in performance across the plant; both financial and process driven.

An example of activities you can expect to be involved in:

Purchasing

• Balance current and future demand requirements within supplier capabilities to ensure completion of customer requirements in line with the site demand plan.

• Collaborating with the Commodity Management team to ensure adherence to standard costs.

• Expediting of supplier material.

• Coordination with Accounts Payable on billing credit issue.

• Project Management – carry out full end-to-end sourcing and supplier selection process. Identify and initiate savings projects.

• Building and maintaining internal and external stakeholder relationships.

• Negotiating with suppliers to effectively manage the strategic sourcing process.

Planning

• Utilising the MRP system to align demand/production schedule.

• Coordination with stores to ensure linear workflow.

• Analyse data to support the Demand Manager in effective forecast/ stocking policy management.

• Supporting planning requirements in the team.

• Supporting operational reviews

• Building and maintaining internal and external stakeholder relationships.

• Supporting in the disposal management of excess and obsolete stock.

• Support ongoing projects within the Planning function.

• Identify and initiate inventory opportunities.

Qualifications:

• 3 A Levels – Grade C or above (to include Mathematics) OR BTEC vocational qualification at Level 3 OR Level 3 apprenticeship

• GCSE minimum of Grade C/4 for Maths and English
