Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Highway Maintenance Coordinator in Tionesta, Pennsylvania

Reference #: 4622544 THE POSITION The Department of Transportation is on the lookout for a Highway Maintenance Coordinator who will play a vital role as an aide to the County Maintenance Manager. This position entails overseeing all maintenance operations within a designated section of the County Maintenance Organization, ensuring that all activities are executed efficiently and effectively. In this role, you will assess the necessary maintenance tasks required for a designated area within the county's maintenance organization by analyzing the condition of the highways, negotiating for the necessary workforce and equipment, and pinpointing the critical needs of the region. You will also evaluate the performance of subordinate foremen in executing planned activities and implement corrective measures as needed to ensure that objectives are achieved. Oversight will be provided by the County Manager, granting you significant freedom in the planning and execution of work programs. Your work will be evaluated based on the success in meeting the objectives of the highway maintenance program.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. Check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices.   REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

Three years as a Highway Foreman 2; or Five years of technical experience in highway maintenance or highway construction; or An equivalent combination of experience and training. Special Requirement: This position requires possession of a valid PA non-commercial Class C driver's license or equivalent.
