In this role, you will assess the necessary maintenance tasks required for a designated area within the county's maintenance organization by analyzing the condition of the highways, negotiating for the necessary workforce and equipment, and pinpointing the critical needs of the region. You will also evaluate the performance of subordinate foremen in executing planned activities and implement corrective measures as needed to ensure that objectives are achieved. Oversight will be provided by the County Manager, granting you significant freedom in the planning and execution of work programs. Your work will be evaluated based on the success in meeting the objectives of the highway maintenance program.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. Three years as a Highway Foreman 2; or Five years of technical experience in highway maintenance or highway construction; or An equivalent combination of experience and training. Special Requirement: This position requires possession of a valid PA non-commercial Class C driver's license or equivalent.
