Job Title: Construction Worker
Job Description
This position will perform demolition work, earthwork and excavations, place and finish concrete, prepare layouts, erect framework for structures, install ceilings and walls, weld, signal operators, and perform other construction-related tasks. This role encompasses all commercial jobsites, from preconstruction (dirt work) to the final touches (finish carpentry, setting windows, doors, and cabinets, etc.).
Responsibilities
Perform demolition work and earthwork
Excavate and prepare sites for construction
Place and finish concrete
Prepare layouts for construction projects
Erect framework for structures
Install ceilings and walls
Weld and signal operators
Complete other construction-related tasks as needed
Engage in finish carpentry, including setting windows, doors, and cabinets
Essential Skills
Experience in construction and physical labor
Mechanical skills
Carpentry skills
Proficiency with power tools
Concrete work
Framing
Ability to use a tape measure
6+ months of recent heavy physical labor
Valid Driver's License
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Willingness to learn and grow within the company

Work Environment
The work environment includes commercial construction jobsites with projects ranging from $100k to $20 million. Employees are required to wear boots, jeans, and a t-shirt/sweatshirt. Teams of 3-10 people work together on the job site at a time. The company is committed to training entry-level workers and promoting from within. Normal working hours are 7am-4pm, Monday through Friday. Depending on the project location, employees may meet at the shop every morning and drive in company vehicles or drive directly to the jobsite.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tiffin, Iowa.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $25.00/hr.
