ABOUT THE ROLE

The Senior Counsel is a key member of the MYR Group Legal Department and will provide legal guidance in a variety of matters that impact our business primarily including construction law and contract review & negotiations. Essential Functions Provide legal advice and support in all aspects of construction law, including hands-on support to senior management, managers, and project managers on change management, risk, protect rights and entitlements for relief, prepare correspondence, maintain records necessary to ensure effective dispute resolution, and other project matters. Review, draft, interpret, and negotiate construction contracts with clients, partners, subcontractors, and vendors. Typical contracts include but are not limited to construction contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders, joint venture agreements, EPC agreements, consortium agreements, major equipment contracts, memoranda of understanding, and nondiscl Have opportunities to work on a variety of legal matters as they progress including Civil Litigation, Labor & Employment, Public Company Governance, Securities & Exchange, Real Estate, Risk Management and Personal Injury matters. Conduct legal research and analysis on complex issues. Respond promptly and accurately to internal and external inquiries. Regular and predictable attendance. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree and Juris Doctor or equivalent 5+ years of construction law experience either in a corporate legal department or in a law firm. Licensed to practice law in at least 1 state in the United States. Ability to become licensed to practice law in Colorado within 6 months. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Knowledge of construction and contract law including contract methods and key risk-shifting provisions, negotiation skills, and strategic thinking. Commercially savvy and strong business acumen in order to provide practical solutions to the business to enable the company to achieve its financial goals. Ability to work within a team environment with a collaborative approach with a business-minded focus to support our operations. Advanced verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate and interact effectively at all levels and across all functions within the company, and the ability to convey complex contract and legal concepts clearly and succinctly. Ability to meet required deadlines. Strong interpersonal skills with an attention to detail and ability to work independently among changing priorities. Superior organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities. WHAT WE OFFER

Compensation & Benefits Salary $115,000-$170,000 / year Commensurate with experience, pai weekly. Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. MYR Group reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate. Two days per week remote work optionfor non-field roles depending on position and performance.
