Job Description
AECOM’s Environment Business Line is seeking a Civil Engineer to join our team of professionals in our Markham Office, Ontario. This is a Full-time role.
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Provide geotechnical project management and technical expertise in support of on-going AECOM projects.
Work with other geotechnical staff in Ontario and other geographies to provide the geotechnical project management and design services to current and prospective clients, and actively participate in local and regional collaborative opportunities.
Maintain positive working relationships with client contacts, suppliers, contractors, engineering consultants and external agencies.
Prepare proposals for medium to high complexity projects for various geotechnical scope of work.
Carry out analysis and design for geotechnical components related to transportation, municipal, building, environmental, and energy projects.
Oversee work performed by junior staff and EITs.
Serves as lead engineer on mid- to large size projects.
Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise.
Approves and signs off on work.
Provides technical expertise for studies and design efforts.
Presents complex technical solutions to clients.
Performs quality control reviews of work developed by others.
Participates in development of technical proposals
Provides estimates for the engineering budget and schedule on medium to large projects.

Qualifications
Qualifications :
Bachelors in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering.
8 years of relevant experience in geotechnical, geological and geotechnical engineering
Professional Engineer or Eligible for P. Eng. in Ontario.
Preferred Qualifications :
Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering
Experience in team management
15+ years of progressive experience in geotechnical, foundation and pavement engineering on complex multidisciplinary project.
Experience in client service (e.g., MX, CN, MTO and OPG) and business development.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrate proactive problem-solving skills.
Ability to maintain organization in a changing environment.
Exhibits initiative, responsibility, and flexibility.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Additional Information
Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $120,000.00 - $195,000.00.
