Xylem Demand Planning Manager in Thomasville, Georgia

The position is responsible for ensuring Xylem has reliable logistics providers to ensure Evoqua’s businesses can deliver to our customers on time and cost effectively. The successful candidate will be able to appraise and improve our logistics activities by analyzing the company’s spending, supplying partnerships and new possibilities.

Core Responsibilities and Tasks

•Manage Xylem’s carrier base and contracts for 3rd party shipments including international, intermodal, parcel, LTL, and TL carriers.

•Monitor freight market trends and take action to keep Xylem’s spending at or below market conditions.

•Discover, negotiate, and partner with key carriers to keep Xylem at better than market pricing.

•Establish and manage company wide logistics policies and procedures.

•Manage 3PL provider(s) to ensure software and processes are available to enforce Xylem logistics policies and procedures.

•Monitor carrier compliance with company policies and procedures and take corrective actions to address issues.

•Monitor Evoqua compliance with company logistics policy and procedures and take corrective actions to address issues.

•Monitor company logistics performance measures and make corrective actions where deficient.

•Manage business stakeholders to ensure cooperation with logistics policies and procedures.

•Estimate logistics risks and apply risk mitigating techniques.

•Ensures compliance with all state and federal laws and regulations regarding logistics and makes sure carriers are also in compliance.

Position Requirements

FORMAL EDUCATION:

Required: BS/BA in supply chain management, engineering, business management, or related discipline

Preferred: Masters degree

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:

Required:

•Leader with initiative, self-motivating skillset that works both autonomously and in a team environment

•5+ Years of experience in supply chain/logistics

•Strong communication and presentation skills

•Ability to work effectively in a team environment, working with direct and matrix resources

•Ability to work across a broad set of stakeholders, both internal and external

•Must be willing to travel up to 25%

•Knowledge of domestic and international freight laws

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: 20%

Salary range:

$91,500.00 - $164,500.00
