Oracle DevOps Engineer 2 in THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, India

Job Description

As a member of the Oracle CX Service team, this highly rewarding role will enable you to use your leading-edge architectural, DevOps, and cloud application knowledge and skills, working with Oracle’s best developers and technology leads as a key contributor.

Oracle CX Service delivers best-in-class Enterprise Cloud customer experience (CX) solutions, giving world-class organizations the technology to deliver optimized B2C and B2B support across multiple platforms, including social and mobile, through cloud deployments.

You will have the opportunity to work independently to drive best practices with product managers and senior technology leaders; solving complex technical problems – a critical role in driving the continued success of Oracle CX.

Responsibilities

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

  • B.Tech/B.E/M.Tech/M.E in Computer Science or related engineering discipline from a reputed institute with consistently good academic record from Xth onwards

  • 1-4 years of relevant work experience, including programming experience and strong DevOps experience

  • Experience working as part of a team doing state-of-the-art object-oriented software development, including continuous integration, test-driven-development, and automated unit and integration testing

  • Experience administering distributed queues such as Kafka or RabbitMQ

  • Experience with cloud computing infrastructure such as Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, OpenStack, or AWS

  • Knowledge of microservices architecture and container orchestration frameworks such as Docker and Kubernetes

  • Experience with configuration management tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Chef

  • In depth knowledge of UNIX/Linux: command-line utilities; familiarity with system administration tools and concepts

  • Experience identifying performance issues on Linux machines – CPU, memory, disk

  • Linux networking expertise, such as investigating network traffic, port forwarding, tuning OS parameters

  • Experience with centralized logging systems, metrics, and tooling frameworks such as ELK, Prometheus, and Grafana

  • Experience with versioning tools such as git

  • Experience with administering CI servers such as GitLab or Jenkins.

  • Proactive, Strong Result orientation (propose solutions based on product capabilities) and Creativity.

  • Good verbal and written communication skills (Advanced English)

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team

Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in the area of specialization.
