We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in The Colony, Texas. The Senior Accountant role involves maintaining accurate financial records, preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and assisting in financial reporting for a leading distributor of aerial lift equipment for the construction industry.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain, record, and post daily accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger transactions.

• Conduct inventory and fixed asset counts, analyze discrepancies between physical and accounting assets, and resolve deficiencies.

• Collaborate with different departments to enhance accounting and internal controls.

• Prepare comprehensive financial reports.

• Process vendor payments and apply customer receipts.

• Reconcile accounts in the trial balance.

• Accrue costs and expenses and record bank and credit card statements.

• Prepare and issue forms related to tax and financial reporting.

• Assist in preparing audit schedules and provide support during audits.

• Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.

• Maintain thorough documentation of accounting processes and procedures.

• Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned by management.

• Improve ERP systems to enhance efficiency and support business changes.

• Provide support to accounting teams across different locations.

Requirements

• Must hold a minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounting role, preferably as a Sr. Accountant

• Proficiency in Balance Sheet Reconciliation, Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, and Journal Entries is required

• Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel for accounting and financial purposes

• Experience with Month End Close procedures

• Knowledge and hands-on experience with NetSuite and SAP

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required
