The department is part of the CONTROLLING AND FINANCE global team with the main focus to optimize business processes using standard process and use IT as key tools to add value to the organization. The aim is to increase efficiency in the financial reporting processes and applications for Siemens which operates the world over. Clients/Business Partners are global Head Quarter Functions in Germany as well as similar functions which operate throughout the worldwide organization.

You’ll make an impact by:

  • As a Junior UX/UI Designer, you will play a critical role in designing user interfaces and enhancing user experiences for our financial reporting applications and processes. Working from our Kalwa office, you will collaborate with a team of developers and business partners to create intuitive, high-quality designs that meet our global standards.

  • Design & Prototyping: Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups for web and mobile applications, focusing on financial reporting processes.

  • User Research: Conduct user research and usability testing to gather insights and validate design decisions, ensuring a user-centered design approach.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with developers, product managers, and global HQ functions to ensure design feasibility and alignment with project goals.

  • Visual Design: Develop and maintain a consistent visual style and ensure design consistency across all digital platforms, adhering to Siemens' design standards.

  • Feedback & Iteration: Incorporate feedback from users and stakeholders to continuously improve design solutions, with a focus on quality and precision.

  • Documentation: Create and maintain design documentation, including style guides, user flows, and personas, to support the development process.

  • Stay Updated: Keep up with the latest design trends, tools, and technologies to bring innovative ideas to the team.

You’ll win us over by:

  • Experience: 2-3 years of experience in UX/UI design, with a focus on web and mobile applications.

  • Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

  • Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe XD, Sketch, Figma, or similar.

  • Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices.

  • Ability to create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

  • Attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics.

  • Experience in web programming and frameworks (JavaScript, Node.js, React, React Native, CSS, Python) is a plus.

  • Technical adeptness in .NET, C#.Net, MS SQL Server, SharePoint, jQuery, Ajax, Excel VBA is advantageous.

  • Familiarity with modern software engineering methods and tooling (e.g., Git).

  • Portfolio: A strong portfolio showcasing your UX/UI design work, including case studies that demonstrate your design process and problem-solving skills.
