McGovern Medical SchoolatUTHealth Houstonis seeking a board-certified/board-eligible diagnostic Neuroradiologist for an Assistant/Associate Professor faculty position in theDepartment of Diagnostic and Interventional Imagingto join a busy clinical and academic neuroradiology service. McGovern Medical School primarily provides imaging services atMemorial Hermann-Texas Medical CenterandHarris Health Lyndon B. Johnson Hospital.

UTHealth Houston is home to UTHealth Houston Neuroscience. The Neuroimaging Section leads the Center for Advanced Imaging (CAIP) at Memorial Hermann Hospital System, where we are integrating advanced clinical decision-making tools into imaging. We also provide coverage at several outpatient-imaging centers. The section is highly integrated with the UT departments ofNeurosurgeryandNeurologyandHead and Neck surgery. Section members provide both diagnostic and interventional neuroradiology procedures.

The academic research opportunities at UTHealth Houston are abundant. The basic science section of the department is well-equipped (with research dedicated 3.0 and 7.0 T MR units) and well-staffed with physicists. Position Key Accountabilities:

The Assistant/Associate Professor in Diagnostic & Interventional Imaging will have research opportunities, provide direct patient care and supervise medical students and residents in a hospital setting. This position will focus on medical education.

Qualifications:

  • Texas Medical license or eligibility to obtain a medical license

  • ACGME-accredited Radiology residency program (or equivalent).

  • Completed training in Neuroradiology preferably from a 2-year program,

  • 2 years of fellowship or 1-year fellowship and clinical management or assistant professor experience.

  • ABR certified or ABR eligible with CAQ certification or eligibility.
