*Galveston County Health District is seeking a Bilingual *WIC Clerk I! This position is responsible for entering data into the WIC automated system, downloading food benefits onto the WIC lone star smart card, maintaining lone star smart card inventory, assisting with the certification process, conducts hemoglobin or hematocrit test (blood test) on applicable WIC clients.

Required:

• Graduation from an accredited high school or equivalent.
• Bilingual in Spanish required.
• 1 plus years of related work experience preferred.
• Nutrition, WIC or public health experience a plus.
• Advanced Data Entry skills.

Ability for spur of the moment transportation without relying on organization vehicles.

Must possess or ability to readily obtain a valid drivers license issued by the State of Texas for the type of vehicle or equipment operated.

Department of Motor Vehicle check may be required, if applicable.

Customer Service Oriented.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
