Amazon Support Engineer, Selling Partner Trust in Tempe, Arizona

Description

Are you passionate about creating both the best buying AND selling experience on the internet? Would you enjoy being able to tell your friends your team shipped product that made buying on Amazon easier and safer in your first few weeks? As a Support Engineer on the Selling Partner Services team, You will have an opportunity to collaborate with Software Development Engineers, Data Engineers, and BI Engineers to help build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, ETL pipelines, and event monitoring solutions at scale. You will also get to work on new automation projects to support variety of customer use cases, are scalable to handle amazon volume, and keep lower storage costs for our customers.

The Selling Partner Trust team is geared to protect Amazon customers (Buyers, Brand owners and Sellers) from bad actors, abuse and fraud. We realize that the future of Marketplace – and Amazon – is increasing trust across all facets of the buying and fulfillment experience. Our vision is to provide Buyers and Sellers with the most trusted experience, exempt from performance gaps, abuse and negative post-purchase experiences.

You will be:

  • Providing Software deployment support in staging and production environments.

  • Triaging incoming tickets, including extensive troubleshooting tasks, with responsibilities covering multiple products, features and services

  • Building robust and secure solutions to address software vulnerabilities, upgrades and patching.

  • Collaborating closely with SDEs, Product Managers and other team members to investigate and resolve support issues.

  • Working on automation and maintenance driven coding projects, primarily in JavaScript and Java.

  • Creating and updating engineering or customer-facing documentation and run-books.

  • Identify customer pain points, raising concerns to your team, to shape the product roadmap

  • Working in a fast-paced environment to deliver high quality software.

Basic Qualifications

  • 2+ years of software development, or 2+ years of technical support experience

  • Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems

  • Experience in Unix

  • Experience scripting in modern program languages

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of web services, distributed systems, and web application development

  • Experience with REST web services, XML, JSON
