Summary

Data storage and backup administration and security policy functions including hardware maintenance, management, and use of software configuration and monitoring tools.

The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of experience.

What You'll Do

  • Administration of NetApp AFF and FAS storage systems, Clustered Data ONTAP, and Metro Cluster IP.

  • Administration of the Qumulo Core file system to support of Archive and Digital Asset Management workloads.

  • Administration of the Cohesity Data Protection Platform for Enterprise Backup Data Protection of (VMWare, SQL, Oracle, SAP, DB2, Active Directory, M365)

  • Perform software and firmware updates to storage and backup environments as needed to improve features, reliability and to remediate critical security vulnerabilities.

  • Follow Change Management procedures and validate software updates to storage and backup environments using defined test plans.

  • Follow Incident and Request Management procedures to resolve customer issues.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve storage and backup related service issues.

  • Deliver root cause analysis for storage service-related outages when necessary.

  • Function as a storage and backup resource and provide technical leadership for customer projects and customer engagement as needed.

  • Provide storage and backup administration to support business continuity and disaster recovery solutions for application and file share environments.

Experience

  • Experience providing at scale administration for enterprise storage and backup environments.

  • Medium skill level with the Linux & Windows operating systems.

  • Light database skills and knowledge of common database (Oracle/SQL) concepts from a storage performance perspective.

  • Understanding of network routing, switching, firewalls, and port security.

  • Scripting experience with Python/ Bash/ Power shell is preferred.

Experience

Promotion to Level 2 requires a minimum of two years experience at Level 1 and demonstrated capability to perform advanced and more difficult work as determined by the supervisor.

Promotion to Senior Level requires a minimum of 3 years experience at Level 2, is fully competent in all aspects of functional area of assignment and as such would be recognized as a specialist in area of assignment and may have periodic or occasional lead responsibilities.

Note: Ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of experience.

Education

Completion of a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution that prepares the employee for the assignment.

Hybrid Workplace

SRP currently offers a hybrid workplace, which allows employees whose jobs can be performed remotely, and who have sufficient technical capability, to telework up to three days per week. Although teleworking is available, all employees must live and work in Arizona.
