Sr Program Controls Specialist

As a Sr Program Controls Specialist here at Honeywell, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful execution and financial control of projects within Honeywell Aerospace Technologies (AT) business unit. This role involves overseeing various aspects of program management, including budgeting, cost control, scheduling, and risk management. You will report directly to our Program Controls Manager and you’ll work out of our Tempe, AZ location on a hybrid work schedule.

In this role, you will impact the organization's financial health, operational efficiency, risk management, stakeholder relationships, and overall success in delivering projects and programs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage the program controls function for projects and programs

  • Develop and implement project planning and scheduling strategies

  • Monitor and control project costs and budgets

  • Identify and mitigate project risks and issues

  • Analyze project performance metrics and provide insights and recommendations

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success

  • Ensure compliance with project management standards and best practices

U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.

YOU MUST HAVE:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in program controls, project management, or related role

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Strong understanding of project management principles and methodologies

  • Experience with project planning and scheduling tools

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • SAP knowledge

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field

  • Master's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification

  • Experience in a global organization

  • Experience in managing projects in a matrix organization
