Skills & Qualifications:

· 6+ months prior experience executing medical records requests AND 6 months of contact center or customer service experience within the last 4 years

· Deep understanding of HIPAA guidelines and associated privacy policies

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· A high comfort level typing, navigating the internet and using multiple software systems

· Strong attention to detail and consistent follow-through on meeting goals and deadlines despite obstacles

A day in the role:

· Access and prepare medical records as needed for patients, patients’ authorized representatives, internal staff, and external third parties

· Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical records and release of health information regulations (e.g., HIPAA) to ensure accurate processing

· Perform administrative duties including but not limited to: answering the phone, faxing and emailing confidential information, and basic computer utilization

· Provide excellent customer service to all internal and external parties
