Foundry Yield Engineer - Product Engineering

Job Description

As a foundry yield engineer you will ensure cloud-based yield tool deployment, foundry Yield Improvement, Datamining support for fab escalations and yield tool training. Recent College graduates in the last 1 to 3 years preferred with the applicable experience listed below.

  • Covering European based devices

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Drive Foundry Defect Density Reduction.

  • Analyze gaps between defect driven yield and actual ATPG yield to improve foundry related process / defect issues for yield improvement.

  • Collaborate with foundry process, PE/TE and foundry technical manager to design foundry DOEs for yield improvement.

  • Work with foundry on the WAT / Inline monitoring

  • Drive foundry yield and gross margin improvement

  • Support foundry Excursion/ RMA data analytics and work with foundry managers and QA for hold lot disposition

  • Support foundry/fab transfer safe launch data analytics

  • Conduct D0 yield calculation for new projects.

  • Maintain detailed documentation of yield analysis, experiments, and corrective actions for future reference and continuous improvement.

  • Drive PDF data integrity and loading for the foundry projects.

  • Provide PDF Exensio consultations for product/test teams.

  • Build PDF Exensio custom template as needed.

Key Performance Measures:

  • Drive D0 defect density devices performance

  • Monitor and report high runner WS yield and drive low yield debugs with foundry on weekly basis.

  • Identifying Yield improvement activities

  • Supporting Quality (RMA FAB related cases)

Qualifications

  • Master degree in electrical engineering function-related discipline, or equivalent experience university degree with technical studies in electronics, physics, chemistry, and/or mechatronics

  • 1-3 years’ experience in IC manufacturing and development

  • Good understanding of semiconductor fabrication processes and technologies.

  • Proficiency in statistical analysis tools and techniques in PDF Exensio Yield tool

  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

  • Deep data analytical and statistical skills
